Virtual Freihofer's Training Challenge
The Freihofer's Run for Women is proud to offer the Virtual Freihofer's Training Challenge. This is a free program for those who don't want to participate in the full Freihofer's Training Challenge but would still like to receive e-mails describing the day's workout as you prepare for the Freihofer's Run for Women.
E-mails will be sent 3-4 times a week and consist of workouts targeting beginner, intermediate and advanced runners. Levels are defined as:
Beginner. Follows the popular Couch to 5k Training Program. You will see a mix of walking, resting and light jogging over the course of 10 weeks. Follow this program if you are targeting your first 5k or have been away from running for a while.
Intermediate. For those who have completed the Beginner's program and/or those who are simply looking for more spirited workouts. The program involves more running at somewhat longer frequencies with little to no walking.
Advanced. For those who have completed several 5Ks and are looking to improve their times. Workouts consist of regular runs mixed with speedwork.
