Freihofer's Run for Women inaugural sponsor of Women IN radio show on TALK 1300 AM

ALBANY, NY (April 8, 2009) — The Freihofer's Run for Women, one of the world's largest and most prestigious all-female 5 km road races (set for Saturday, May 30 at 10:15 a.m. in downtown Albany), has become the inaugural sponsor of Women IN, a new radio show on TALK 1300 AM, the Capital Region's talk radio station.

The 60-minute show, which airs weekly from 11 a.m. to noon, features a discussion of current events, networking events, as well as subjects of interest to women, including business, politics, education, sports, technology, religion, communications, and everyday life. The show also includes live 20-minute guest interviews with Women IN host, Melody D Burns, Idea Practitioner, LLC.

"We're delighted to become the show's first sponsor," said Freihofer's Run for Women Event Director George Regan, who will appear on the 4/10 program to discuss plans for the 31st edition of the Freihofer’s Run for Women. "We're constantly looking to build this race and Women IN will become an important aspect of our marketing efforts."
